Question 1

Question 1: What can you see around that is different from the Botany you live in back in 1830? You must think about the natural and cultural features. 

We can see a lot more houses and buildings and not a lot farmland. Instead of birds chirping we can hear cars zooming past, there is also no sign of our houses or our Pa. Back in our time there were only a few european settlers but now they have increased in size majorly. Instead of growing and hunting our own food there is now a supermarket which has many kinds of meat, fruit vegetables. In 2013 there is less land to make way for Botany's growing population the spare today is still being used to make new houses. Nowadays kids are playing on their phones, laptops and iPods/iPads instead of playing hand games and stick games. In place of small school buildings/churches there are massive buildings for different ages to go to school, there are also a lot more churches that are greater than our small churches. The Tamaki Estuary is still the same but it looks very green. There are a lot of differences between 1830 and 2013 cultural and natural.
