Question 3: Are there any thing that are the same? if so, what are they and why do you think they have not changed?
Yes there is, they have not changed because some of them represent Botany and are cultural features and natural features. Some of these features happen to be the Tamaki estuary which his how the Maori first found Botany and Howick but today it is not as clear as it used to be now days it looks very green because of all the water pollution. Back in 1830 there was no rubbish eg. plastic so the water could remain clear so the Maori could fish for eels for food, today that is a different story with the eels being overfished there is not as much of them and with water green there is not as much fish. The cultural side of Botany is very much alive with some of their old structures still here in the Botany area. At the Howick Historical Village you can see some of their old structures that they lived in, they are all there for people to come see how people used to live. Also in the East Tamaki area there is a Marae an old maori metting house. The maori culture is still very alive.
