On of the main changes to Botany is how the environment has changed between 1830- 2013. Back in 1830 there was only farmland with the exception of the maori settlements, now there is a bustling suburb full of houses, roads and schools but today's Botany has only been around for about 20 years. With our ever growing population in Auckland it is certain that Botany will continue to grow even bigger. Another big change in the environment is the lack of native birds, back in 1830 we would of had Tui's, Fantail's and Kereru's but today we see international birds eg. Sparrow's, Pigeon's and Minor's in Botany. Another big change are all the factories that you can see around Botany which give off carbon dioxide which is not good for our planet, with the decrease of trees it will be a lot harder to get rid of the carbon dioxide. I think with some of the free space we have left in Botany we could plant a lot more trees and turn them in to parks, this would keep Botany clean and green and also give our a community a good reptation. In 50 years time who knows how much Botany would of changed from 2013, Botany could be very populated or could of decreased in size. But really the future is going to be up to us we will decide what will happen to the world in the next few years, we are the people of tomorrow.
